This policy explains how HatterHosting handles information when you visit this website, request an audit or project plan, join a product launch list, purchase an available product, or become a client. A client website may need its own notice based on that business's data practices, location, trade, customers, and connected tools.
Information you provide
We collect the information you choose to submit, such as your name, business name, email, phone number, website, business type, service interest, project details, and consent record. Contractor-project details may include a service area or ZIP code, property type, job description, urgency, preferred timing, budget range, and photos or files when an approved intake flow enables them. Please do not send sensitive personal information that is not needed for the request.
Orders and account records
When checkout is available, order records may include the purchased item, amount, payment provider, transaction status, billing contact details supplied by the provider, delivery status, license information, and support history. Stripe and PayPal process payment credentials through their own secure checkout experiences; HatterHosting does not intentionally receive or store full payment-card or bank-account numbers.
Website measurement and technical data
Our first-party measurement records page paths and limited events such as call-to-action clicks, form activity, checkout activity, and confirmed-order page views. It uses a random tab-scoped session identifier that rotates after 30 minutes of inactivity, a coarse mobile, tablet, or desktop class, an experience-version label, and privacy-safe first-touch channel, source, and campaign labels when available. We do not store the full referring URL, URL query string, cookie identifier, advertising identifier, fingerprint, name, email, or phone number in these conversion events. Global Privacy Control and browser Do Not Track signals disable this event collection. Anonymous raw events are retained for up to 180 days for current-versus-prior reporting, then deleted. Hosting infrastructure may separately produce ordinary device, browser, IP-address, request, and security logs for delivery and security.
How we use information
We use information to save and respond to requests, evaluate and deliver agreed services, fulfill orders, provide support, secure and improve our systems, maintain business records, meet legal obligations, and prevent fraud or abuse. We do not sell personal information.
Email, calls, texts, and recording
The public inquiry checkbox permits HatterHosting to email or call about that request; it does not enroll the submitter in marketing texts. SMS or automated messaging is enabled only through a separately approved workflow with the required disclosure, consent evidence, sender identification, and opt-out handling. Call recording is off by default and is not enabled until an appropriate notice and consent process has been reviewed for the applicable jurisdictions.
Service providers and disclosure
We may share only the information reasonably needed with providers that support hosting, security, analytics, communications, customer management, scheduling, payment, file delivery, or professional services. Stripe and PayPal receive the order and payer information needed to process, verify, refund, dispute, and prevent fraud for their respective payments. A client-requested inbox, CRM, calendar, field-service platform, or other integration receives data only when that destination is included in the written scope and configured. We may also disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and system security.
Client lead data
For managed client systems, the client remains responsible for the promises made to its customers, the lawfulness and accuracy of its forms, retention instructions, user permissions, and state, local, trade, or industry requirements. The signed agreement controls HatterHosting's role, access, exports, approved providers, and offboarding obligations.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described, the client agreement, support, dispute prevention, security, or legal obligations. Retention can differ by record type and connected provider. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete information you submitted, or opt out of non-transactional communications, subject to identity verification and legal, security, contractual, and recordkeeping exceptions. Available privacy rights and appeal methods vary by jurisdiction. When an approved text program is active, any reasonable opt-out request will be honored through the configured process.
Contact and updates
For a privacy request, email support@hatterhosting.com. We may update this policy as services or requirements change and will post the revised effective date here.
This policy describes HatterHosting's current operating baseline. It is not a universal privacy notice or legal advice for a contractor's own website, trade, customer base, or jurisdiction.
